## Active projects 1. [[ODET|Open Decision-Making System for Enhancing Europe's Preparedness and Response Capacities to ExTreme Wildfires (ODET)]] is the successor of EWED and is about forecasting extreme wildfire behaviour. 2. [[ORCRIST + SUNBEAM]] are two sister projects with Leiden University about fast 3D radiative transfer using GPUs and machine learning, to bring Monte Carlo ray tracing to weather and climate models. ## Completed projects 1. [[EWED|Extreme Wildfire Data Hub for Improved Decision Making (EWED)]] is about turbulent wildfire plumes. 2. [[nextGEMS]] is a large consortium-project about the development and testing of next-generation weather and climate models. 3. [[SLOCS|Shedding Light On Cloud Shadows (SLOCS)]] is about measuring and simulating cloud-induced surface solar irradiance variability.
